Process Engineer

The role of an Process Engineer

The Process Engineer reports hierarchically to the Manager Process Engineering and is also an integral part of one of the project teams, which includes a Project Manager, an E&I Engineer, and a Mechanical Engineer.

The Process Engineer is responsible for the process engineering design and further development of DMT’s installations.

The tasks of an Process Engineer

Lead the process engineering design of DMT's installations, ensuring progress, performance, quality, and safety across multiple international projects simultaneously
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary project team including a Project Manager, E&I Engineer, and Mechanical Engineer, advising colleagues on process engineering matters
Generate and manage process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, process descriptions, and safety studies
Interpret process data, implement process improvements, and act as a technical point of contact for process issues and disruptions
Contribute to knowledge development and transfer within the team and organisation
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the field and translate innovations into new product development and DMT installations

Qualifications & background

A completed bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, or equivalent, with at least 2–3 years of work experience
Experience with project-based working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment
Knowledge of safe process engineering design
Work experience in at least one of the following sectors is a plus: anaerobic digestion / (bio)gas treatment, oil & gas, industrial refrigeration, or wastewater treatment
Willingness to occasionally work on-site or visit suppliers and contractors
Excellent level of English
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a drive to contribute to the structural improvement of installations and develop yourself as an engineer
